Reality Has Been Waiting
There are moments when nothing outside us has changed.
The conversation has already taken place.
The relationship has already become something different.
The chapter has already come to an end.
Reality has been quietly speaking for some time.
Yet one day, something within us feels profoundly different.
Not because life has changed again.
Because our understanding has finally arrived where reality has been waiting all along.
Knowing and Understanding
One of the quiet discoveries within consequential decisions is that we can know something long before we truly understand it.
We may recognise that a relationship has changed while continuing to live as though it has not. We may see that a chapter has ended while still trying to continue it. We may understand, intellectually, what reality is asking of us while finding ourselves emotionally unable to live within it.
